We’ve been adding tons of new Custom Gallery partners (AKA "Remote Gallery") recently, which has been super fun.  We love being able to provide gallery services to networks all over the web, so that they can quickly and easily customize and implement a full widget solution for their users.  With our extensive gallery of over 70,000 widgets now, there’s a lot to choose from!

One of our recent Custom Gallery partners we’d like to highlight is Webjam.  Webjam is a slick and easy website creator, and they’ve now made it easy for any "jammers" to add widgets to their pages.  It’s hot. 

They’ve chosen to implement the gallery through XML feeds (you can also pop it up in an iFrame), and because they picked the feeds option they built their own UI around the widgets.  They did a truly beautiful job.  You can check out their blog post for a quick overview.

Webjam has made it really easy to add widgets to your site.  Once you are logged in, all you do is click the modules tab

Opening modules gives you a bunch of options to choose from, with "widgets" smack dab in the center.  So go ahead and pick that one!

Once you are in the "Widgetbox Library," you can see Webjam is pulling in a bunch of our content for you to pick from and add with one click to your site.

Some cool features are that you can either browse by type, where
they’ve pulled in the Widgetbox feeds  of Most Popular, New Widgets,
Top Rated, and Featured Widgets.  You may notice that the widgets in
Webjam might be different from the ones you find on Widgetbox if you
look at those modules.  That’s because with the Custom Gallery you can
choose which widgets you want to include, and only the ones you’ve
chosen will show up in your gallery.  Nifty, eh?

They’ve also created a number of categories, and you can sort through those until you find the widgets you’ve always wanted.

All in all, Webjam did a great job implementing our Custom Gallery.  Hundreds and hundreds of new subscriptions have already been added to Webjam sites, and we can’t wait to see where it goes.
