A Chilling Lesson

FridgeLast week we took delivery of our office fridge.   We got a cheap one; we try to save money where we can.

As in many places in life and software development, being cheap has its costs. In this case, el frigo cheapo doesn't fit your standard large pizza box.

As you can see, we had to fold the boxes in half and do some Tetris to get them to fit. And we end up with thin crust pizza when it started out thick crust.

We probably saved $50 by going with the small fridge. Figuring one or two late nights a week with leftover pizza that nobody wants because it's squashed, and we're losing $20 a week. And heaven help us if there's leftover caesar salad!

So be nice to yourself, and thrifty at the same time:  order a fridge that fits your hungry software lifestyle.

You know all refridgerators in Europe are little like that, but I guess "Freedom Pizzas" are just bigger here than the French ones. You might try my technique (logic): eat all of the pizza now or it will go to waste.

or, you could take the pizza out of the box and stack it on plates, then cover it? hrrrm.
