A Whole Lotta iTunes Going On

As you may have noticed by our very iTunes-y front door, Widgetbox has been working with the great folks over at iTunes, and we've got the new My iTunes widgets!  We've spent the last couple of months  getting these ready for your iTunes loving, widget building pleasure, and we couldn't be happier to announce the Widgetbox Showcase for iTunes - check it out, it's slick!

As you may have read about, iTunes just released these brand new My iTunes widgets, and once you are signed into iTunes you can very easily create web widgets and share top reviews, favorite artists, new music, movies, and TV shows from the iTunes Store.  Bring your code snippet back to Widgetbox, and you can configure and change the widgets to your heart's desire, add them with one click to your favorite sites, and change them whenever you want without having to copy and paste code all over again!  We think these web widgets are a great way to show the world the kinds of music you love.

While we were working with iTunes on these widgets, we also created a brand new widget tool - the MixIt.  With the MixIt maker, you can make a super sleek widget (Thanks George, Grant, and Omar!) out of any iMix.  For those of you who don't know what an iMix is, it is an iTunes playlist that you’ve chosen to publish and make available to anyone in the iTunes Store.  There are millions of iMixes over at iTunes, just waiting to be made into MixIts and shared all over the web.  Plus, you can make your own iMix at any time - just get started here!  We're pretty excited about the MixIt - enough that we created a whole category to house all the MixIts you guys build.
