National Wear Red Day Tomorrow, February 1st!

Tomorrow is National Wear Red Day by the American Heart Association and we have a matching widget!



According to the Feminist Majority Foundation, National Wear Red Day is intended to "raise awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer of women." Men and women alike are encouraged to wear anything red:



"National Wear Red Day as its own dress code. Wear your favorite red clothes or accessory -- a red pin or scarf or fabulous handbag. Wear red lipstick or sport red socks. Go red in your fashion to show your support for the fight against heart disease."

Its a good cause, and important to keep in focus, as so many women die annually from heart disease. I would like to see more media attention on the issue of heart disease and how it affects women, as well as potential links of heart disease to things like foods, pharmeseuticals, etc.
