FiveThirtyEight.com Widget: Electoral Projections in a Widget!

With the 2008 Presidential Election now just hours away, we are happy to announce that you can get the FiveThirtyEight.com widget on Widgetbox - keeping you informed with the latest voting trends, polls, projections and breaking news.

The 538 widget is just a couple days old and already has over 4,000 installs on various blogs and websites... hopefully an indication of people's intention to vote!

About FiveThirtyEight.com (from their website):

Who are you? My name is Nate Silver and I live in Chicago. For additional background, please see here or here. The other contributor to this website, Sean Quinn, lives in California.

What is the significance of the number 538? 538 is the number of electors in the electoral college.

What is the mission of this website? Most broadly, to accumulate and analyze polling and political data in way that is informed, accurate and attractive. Most narrowly, to give you the best possible objective assessment of the likely outcome of upcoming elections.

Thanks for explaining what your URL name is. Pretty interesting though. I have check out your site and realize that you have lots of categories and news updates. My penny of thought, would you mind reorganizing your web layout as it seems rather confusing to me.

I not really crazy about political issues and a certain times unsure where to start from. Your website is great for me to update news that I have missed out .I am also able to see what other people commented about that subject to provide me with better knowledge on what people think about it.Good!

I use both Adsense and Adbrite and i can say that adbrite is also a good source of income but not as good as adsense.:,.
