eBay Sellers: Build eBay Widgets to Drive Bids
Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 12:24AM Grab a RSS Feed of Your eBay Listings
Start with an RSS feed of your eBay listings or eBay Store - let's use the "Univeral Home Style" store as an example. eBay provides RSS buttons at the bottom of eBay searches and stores:

Use Your Listings Feed to Start a Blidget Pro
1. Enter your feed into the Blidget Pro creator
2. Choose either "Header & Footer Layout" or the "Full Background" Layout
3. Customize the widget's layout and size (I've chosen 170 x 450 pixels)
4. Provide a "Label" as this will become the widget's first tab (I've chosen "Deals")

Add Additional Tabs for Listings by Category
This is particularly effective if your eBay Account or Store has several listings. With the Universal Home Style Store, there are hundreds of listings categorized very nicely... so I chose to add tabs for those categories with the most active listings. To do so, simply:
1. Click the "Tabs" link to open the creator and then click "Add New Tab".
2. Select the RSS option and input the RSS feed for the corresponding category of listings
3. Provide a "Label" (such as "Faucets")
4. Select the Layout type (The sample is shown in "Brick View")
Now you have a widget that features all of your listings, is branded and totally customizable... making it the ultimate marketing tool for any active eBay seller:
