Recently a very prominent government agency—the California Employment Development Department (EDD)—used Widgetbox’s Blidget to help their cause and inform people of available resources.
Bringing Down the Jobless Rate
In an effort to keep several hundred thousand unemployed Californians up to date on news and training/career opportunities—California’s unemployment agency, the EDD, turned to Widgetbox.
Using Widgetbox, the EDD was able to build a dynamic unit that included live Twitter updates, current news, and a Youtube channel featuring video tutorials such as how to apply for unemployment insurance benefits.
The unit was placed on the EDD’s homepage and has currently received more than 2 million impressions.
With Widgetbox's Blidget Editor it's simple and easy to get started making your own Blidget. Include your own customized content such as Twitter and blog feeds, YouTube videos, slideshows, and more. Best of all you can take advantage of our new design and styling features to personalize your Blidget.
