Today was our first day in our new office space, and we couldn’t be more excited!

After adding five new awesome employees in the past few months—we officially outgrew our old office space and had to start looking for a new company headquarters.

Luckily we were able to find a great space is the SOMA (South of Market) area of downtown San Francisco. We’re now closer to parks, people, and poppin lunchtime options.

New Image Options for Your Blidget

This month we added a new feature that makes it easier than ever to include images in a Blidget (blog or other feed-based widget)!

With the just-released “insert image” feature, you can directly upload your images into a custom content tab without having to host the image on another site. Simply enter what text (if any) you want to include, and then select an image and position it where you would like it to appear. This new feature is only available to Pro subscribers.

Kindle or iPad?

Amazon today announced a new smaller, lighter version of the Kindle to be listed at $139. This new price is the all-time lowest price for the Kindle device, pricing it well below all other e-readers, including Sony's and Barnes and Noble's. Amazon President Jeff Bezos remarked of the new price, "At $139, if you’re going to read by the pool, some people might spend more than that on a swimsuit and sunglasses,”. Of course the $499 iPad is much more than simply an e-reader, but the New York Times reports that for many consumers it comes down to a choice between Kindle or iPad. So this got us over here at Widgetbox thinking, Is the iPad worth the $499? Or is all the additional design and functionality that come with the higher price tag unnecessary?
