Last week our friend Dave McClure over at Master of 500 Hats did a great blog post about the Social Graph Platform Wars, where he likened the battle to Star Wars. Well, we agree, only we think he got the Widgetbox position a teensy bit off. When you take a closer look, you can see that Widgetbox has actually disappeared from its original grouping in the lower right hand corner.
Where did we go? Kinda strange, eh? Well, let's pan out a bit and see if we can find Widgetbox in this universe.
Woah! There we are - quietly holding together all the players in this entire battle. Clearly, Widgetbox is The Force. That's what you meant to say, right Dave?
In all honesty, we really believe this to be true. Widgetbox is the best and easiest way to gain access to The Empire, The Rebel Alliance and The Clone Army. We are the "energy that surrounds and binds us" (Man, I love Yoda) and allows the developers a mystical back door in to this entire universe, and we are prepared to let anyone who wants to "Use The Force" to do whatever they want to in a widgetized world.
We even offer Jedi Knight training. Seriously. Just ask, and we can get you to the Degobah System to meet up with Yoda.
Use the Force. Do it.
