MSNBC used Yahoo! Pipes to build an aggregated feed of key celebrity twitter feeds and then Widgetbox to build and serve the widget content onto their page.

The Countdown Pro Creator enables users to easily, without any coding, create custom countdown widgets that can be shared across the web and shared on Facebook. Creating your countdown is easy and there are several opportunities to personalize the widget (a full tutorial is coming shortly!):

Measured by Quantcast, our widgets are now seen by 100.5m unique users each month and served over 700m times – representing more than 2x growth in the last year:

Those users are split evenly between men and women (51% / 49%) and have sweet spot of 35-49 and 18-34 year olds (35% and 30% respectively):

Weeds is back

The hit Showtime series Weeds is back in action with season 5 kicking off last night. By all accounts it was a great opening episode, making sure to bring back the comedy that some say was lacking throughout season 4. Although funny, it was definitely pretty scary for Nancy right from the start, but as always I’m sure she will find a way to sneak by unscathed.
