New, Customizable Widget
Each channel within the Blog Network has its own widget… and we’ve given them all a new look and feel! The widgets are also customizable – so you can set its color gradient and size to match your blog’s template. Here’s an example for the Women’s Channel

Blog Profile Pages and Blidget Promotion
All bloggers within the Widgetbox Blog Network now have a “Blog Profile” page that links to your blog (great for SEO), promotes your Blidget, and links to all of your latest posts. Check out the “Brain Pickings” profile as an example – it’s the 3rd most popular blog in Arts & Design.

Improved Rankings and Algorithms
We are continually improving the algorithms for top bloggers and top blog posts – both of which are dynamically featured in the widgets. Our algorithms reward popular and frequent writers while also spotlighting new and interesting content from across the rest of the Channel.

Here’s how it works:

Let’s imagine that you are a huge Paris Hilton fan and an avid celebrity news blogger. You would join the Celebrity Channel and place the widget in your blog’s template (widget shown below). On each page view, new blog posts are dynamically presented from other bloggers also in the Celebrity Channel – and likewise, your blog posts appear on their pages… effectively driving highly relevant traffic across the network and taking advantage of Widgetbox’s large audience / community.

On your blog, the widget will actually be customized to display a badge of your blog and its rank within the Channel!

Joining is easy:

1. Visit http://www.widgetbox.com/network and select the Channel that fits your blog
2. Click the Join This Network button, select your blidget (or create one) and then grab the Channel Widget’s code
3. Add the code to your blog template and press activate

That’s it. Your content will now be automatically populated in the widget and you will begin to see new streams of traffic.
